Program description
Batterer intervention program is a 52-week program that concentrates on the prevention of
domestic violence of all forms. The program’s focus is rehabilitation and education with an
emphasis on accountability to end all forms of violence including physical violence, threats,
intimidation, isolation, emotional abuse, economic coercion, manipulation and assertion of
privileges. Participants must be ordered by the court or the department of human services,
Participants meet once a week for one hour and thirty minutes for a full year.
